Can you believe that the summer is almost over! It's ridiculous how fast the summer has gone. And today is one of the first "real" summerdays. The last time we got a day this good here I got so sunburnt that I still have the T-shirt mark after it. So I better go outside now and get even more sunburnt since I'm only working from 4 to 9 today. I'm becoming whiter than all white so I figured that it would be a good thing adding some red to it
I went to the eye doctor today (I know there is a more fancy word over the eye doctor but I don't remember it by) and my eye sight has officially become worse and I have to wear glasses most of the day. This is horrible news - my old glasses are distgustingly ugly and outdated so I probably have to buy some new ones. I think that I'll check the prices in England first because I have to pay 250 pounds or more for them here. It's a rip off!! So all of you that are thinking about coming to Iceland - have your pockets full of money and some very warm sweaters even though you come in the summer time.
I've been driving my grandma's car almost all summer since she cannot drive because of her stroke. I took it for an annual check up yesterday and I found out that I have been driving a traffic hazard all summer that is dangerous to us all. The stearing ends in the wheel are damaged so it could have stop working any second and the front breaks are damaged as well. As all concerned grandma's mine called immidiately for an appointment but there is no opening until next Wednesday. Let's hope I can survive till then because I stopped at a gas station yesterday to change the light bulps but they somehow managed to overpower the system (or something) so the light bulps don't work anymore. Let's hope it will still be light when I come home from work this evening and that I can stop at appropriate times and that the wheel works so I can manage the car
Well, I'll just be ready to jump out if anything happens
Well, I bid you farewell so I can go outside and get a little colour in my face even though it's not a brown one
Adios.

Hey guys!
@ 08. Aug. 2005. – 18:03:41
Few things have happened since last time but not many of them are worth telling. I went to a concert the other day with Emiliana Torrini. She is a brilliant singer, I bought a CD with her so you can all listen if you want

The first weekend in August is always a travelling/drinking/fun activities-kind-of-weekend. There is always a lot going on - bands are performing downtown and there is a cirkus and all kind of things. Unfortunately I was working that weekend but I got to go downtown a little bit and have a bit of fun
Well, I was with the kids from work but it was fun anyhow. I am really going to miss these kids. They have learnt to put up with me and accept me so everything is going real smooth and good these days
I am sorry, I haven't got anything else to say other then work related things so I better stop before I tell you about the diaper I had to change yesterday
Hope you guys have enjoyed your summer, I am sure going to enjoy the rest of it.
See ya. -
Hey everybody!

I am so sunburnt that it's not even funny
Finally the sun shows itself in full glory and it catches the first opportunity that it gets and burns me ridiculously much. I literally look like a fried tomato
My first 10 days as 23 has gone well. Nobody has asked me how old I am so I can still pretend that I am 22. I liked being 22 but yet again I get more pay being 23 so I don't mind too much
Talking about work...I was supposed to get yesterday off but I had to work and got myself into even more work by promising to take 5 other shifts. That's what happens when there is a problem of saying NO. I'll definately work on this problem in the future
I did say no about today though, I was asked to work extra today but I said no. So perhaps I have gotten a tiny step towards working on this problem
Great news!!!! I don't live in a suitcase anymore and that's the great news of the day. My sister (Gyða) and I have been sharing a room since we came here in the spring. But the problems has been that there is only one bed and no closet. So I have had to shove my clothes into my brothers room and leave some of it on chairs and in suitcases. But finally a large closet arrived and is up now so we don't live in a pig-stine like we used to
Finally
Well, there is still only one bed and there doesn't seem to be a solution to that this summer.
Not so great news!!!! I haven't have had the chance to go on any camping trips this summer and it doesn't look like I am going to
So when I come back to Newbold I just have to camp out on the football field or go to Wales or Scotland and have a proper camping trip. It just isn't summer without camping.
Good news!!!! There is only a month or so till school starts again and I am starting to look forward to it. So, I'll see you Newbold people soon
